Mika is the latest name confirmed in the B’estFest 2011 line-up, thus joining Skunk Anansie, Flogging Molly, Asian Dub Foundation, Lamb, Pendulum, House of Pain and Hadouken on the poster of the fourth edition of the festival. B’estFest makes a comeback this summer, between July 1 and 3, in a green spot in Northern Bucharest, in the Pipera-Tunari area, turning into a true “summer camp”, which promises to offer a wide range of experiences, from concerts and exhibition to creative workshops, entertainment venues and playgrounds, vintage fairs and a camping site.
Mika (on his real name Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr.) launched his first single – “Relax Take it Easy” – in 2006, followed, in early 2007, by “Grace Kelly”, a song which became a No.1 in UK charts within one month. Mika won the BRIT Best British Breakthrough Artist award, as well as a nomination to the Grammys. At present, Mika is working on a new album, and, according to preliminary information, this will be launched this year and will be conceived in a manner quite unlike his early work.
