Baconshi pleads for sustained dialogue with Chisinau

Present in Luxembourg onTuesday, Romanian ForeignAffairs Minister Teodor Baconschipresided the 4th meeting of theEuropean Action Group for theRepublic of Moldova, a meetingthat took place on the margins ofthe European Council on ForeignRelations. The Romanian ForeignMinister pleaded for maintainingthe upward trend in the dialoguewith Moldovan authorities.According to a Foreign AffairsMinistry communiqué, the meetingrepresented “a success,” contributingto hiking EU’s interestfor the Republic of Moldova, takinginto account the progress thatthe Moldovan government registeredon the path of reforms.“The meeting outlined supportfor achieving new progress at theMay 5 meeting of the EU –Republic of MoldovaCooperation Council, particularlyin what concerns the perspectiveof launching negotiations on creatinga free trade area and the dialogueon visa liberalization,” thecommuniqué adds.
