Normalisation committee appointed for Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The FIFA Emergency Committee hasdecided on Tuesday to appoint a normalisationcommittee in order to solve theproblems faced by the Football Federationof Bosnia and Herzegovina (FFBH),which is currently suspended by bothFIFA and UEFA. After discussions withvarious stakeholders and following consultationwith UEFA, a six-person normalisationcommittee made up of footballpersonalities from Bosnia-Herzegovinahas been established and put in placewith immediate effect, fifa.com informs.The normalisation committee will henceforthact as the FFBH Executive Committeeas well as the FFBH EmergencyCommittee to prepare and convoke theordinary general assembly of 2011, atwhich the delegates have to adopt theFFBH statutes and take decisions on allother statutory items, by 26 May 2011 atthe latest. It will also ensure that all connections/relationships with any membersof the “former” FFBH leadership are cutimmediately with regard to decision-makingin financial, administrative, sportingand other matters, and to establish a roadmap for improvements in this respect aswell. The FIFA release reads that the committeewill prepare, in a second phase,new elections of all statutory bodies inaccordance with the newly adoptedFFBH statutes by 30 November 2011 atthe latest. FFBH has been suspendeduntil further notice by FIFA and UEFAon April 1, 2011. The Executive Committeesof FIFA (on 28 October 2010)and UEFA (on 4 October 2010) had requestedthe FFBH to adopt the statutesaccording to FIFA and UEFA minimumrequirements by no later than 31 March2011, otherwise the FFBH would beautomatically suspended.
