Ridzi: Romanian Police was hideously demanding a victim

In a posting on her personalblog, former minister of youthand sports Monica Iacob Ridzisaid that, while, from thecriminal point of view, she hadnot done anything wrong, shenonetheless had to go througha criminal investigation , as the“Romanian Police washideously demanding a victim.”Ridzi also said that shesigned the minutes attesting toher submitting the criminalproceeding documents “in theso extensively media coveredcase of the events organized bythe Ministry of Youth andSports on Youth Day – May 2,2009.”“I assure you, I’m waitingpeacefully for the trial tobegin. From the bottom of myheart, I hope that the HighCourt of Cassation and Justicewill unbiasedly examine all theaspects of the case. I hope thisbad dream called “opening ofcriminal proceedings” to beexamined with a moderationcharacteristic of a true act ofjustice, and not under thepressure to produce guilty personsat any cost,” Ridzi alsowrote, who admitted thisbeing the toughest period inher life, and that she was onestep away from breakingdown.
