The painting “Peasant Girl Resting”, signed by Nicolae Grigorescu, set, on Wednesday evening, a new record on the Romanian art market, being sold for EUR 270,000 in the auction organized, in Bucharest, by Artmark House, “Romania Libera” reports. The painting becomes, thus, the most expensive work sold, so far, by public auction in Romania, according to the same source. The previous record was set, this year, by “Pub in Rucar”, also by Grigorescu, sold for EUR 230,000.
