Extraordinary Easter recital by Felicia Filip

The celebrated soprano Felicia Filip will offer, tonight, in the Opera’s Yellow Foyer, an extraordinary recital of Easter sacred songs and Orthodox religious chants. The artist will delight us with works by composers J. S. Bach,W. A. Mozart, A. Vivaldi, J. Massenet, P.Mascagni and Andrei Tudor, accompanied byIoana Maxim on the piano. She brings along Marius Oltean (tenor, soloist of the “IonDacian” National Operetta Theatre and amember of the pop opera band Distinto) and the Romanian Patriarchy’s “Symbol” Childrenand Youth Choir, conducted by the professor Jean Lupu, as well as other special guests. This artistic journey dedicated to the Easter feast is coordinated by Anda Tabacaru Hogea. Felicia Filip’s artistic personality, her sensibility and talent, her naturalness and spontaneity on stage, her brilliant voice made an impression from the very beginning of her career: “tonight’s most appreciated star”, “the newqueen of LT raviata”, “an impressive beauty”,“a phenomenal voice”, “her voice will go down in history” … She is the world’s only singer to have won all the international“Mozart” awards, along sidcountless other distinctions.

Since 1990, she has been a soloist of the Bucharest National Opera. She has a rich repertoire, which includes works by the greatestopera, operetta, lied and symphonic vocalmusic composers (Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Mozart, Bizet, Puccini, J. Strauss, J.Offenbach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann). She has collaborated, in performances and concerts, with the likes of Montserrat Cabbalé, Roberto Alagna, Francesco Araiza, Juan Pons, Franco Farina, Salvatore Fisichella, Marcelo Alvarez or Fabio Armiliato. She has built an impressive international career, appearing on the world’s greatest stages: the Covent Garden Royal Opera, the Opera Theatres in Vienna, Hamburg, Barcelona, Dresden, Frankfurt, Toronto, Toulouse, Bologna, Dortmund, Rotterdam, Limoges, Rome, Vatican and Toulon, the Royal Opera in Wallonie-Brussels.
