Poster against sexual orientation discrimination scandalizes Church

A poster against sexual orientation discrimination has stirred the anger of  Church representatives, Realitatea.net informs. The poster, which appeared on advertisement panels in several cities, depicts a baby wearing a wrist bandreading “homosexual” and has the message: “Sexual orientation is not a choice, not a disease.”The panel appeared in several large cities, including Timisoara and Iasi, being part of the programme dubbed “I am! Are you?” The programme is handled by the Population Services International (PSI) Romania, a branch of the PSI global network. Iasi Archbishopric representatives consider that posting this in a public setting at a time when Orthodox Christians (who form the majority in Iasi) are getting ready to celebrate Easter is regrettable.
