MKB to sell Romexterra

As part of its exit strategy, the Hungarian bank MKB, owned by the German Bayerische Landesbank, intends to sell Romexterra Bank by 2013, is argued in the bank’s 2010 report, Portfolio.hu reports, quoted by Money.ro. MKB estimates it could obtain a maximum HUF 2.395 bln (approx. EUR 9 M) out of selling its Romanian business. MKB took over Romexterra in 2003 and owns 90.79 pc of shares. Romexterra was founded in 1993 and, as of November 1, 2010, changed its commercial name into MKB Nextebank.
