Pajura and Bazilescu metro stations are 80 pc complete

The Pajura and Bazilescu stations that will extend the 4th Main Line of the Bucharest metro are taking shape, with excavation and masonry works completed and the only things still in construction being the rails and finishing works, so both stations are 80 pc done, Realitatea.net reports. Subway operator Metrorex has another expansion of Main Line 4 under way, with two more stations – Laminorul and Lac Straulesti – whose construction might begin next year, at an estimated cost of RON 700 M. Also on paper is an expansion of the same Line in the opposite direction, to the Progresul railway station, in the Berceni district, via the stations Hasdeu, Palatul Parlamentului, Catedrala Mantuirii Neamului and Eroii Revolutiei. For this last segment, the operator company has not made the feasibility plan yet.
