Romanian gendarme, chief of Special Police Department of EULEX Kosovo mission

Colonel Marian Petre was appointed chief of the Special Police Department within the EULEX Kosovo mission, following a selection at the level of the Planning and Management Capacity of the EU civil missions, a unit under the authority of the European External Action Service. According to the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE), this is the highest office in the EULEX Kosovo’s organizational scheme, on the police activity planning segment. Marian Petre comes from the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Gendarmerie. Colonel Marian Petre held positions as staff officer, military instructor and subunit commander, before being appointed Commander of the Ochiuri Training Centre for Gendarmes
