17-year-old from Mioveni found dead at home

A suspicious death occurred in Mioveni, Arges County. A 17-year-old was found dead at home by his mother, Realitatea TV reports. Several hours before, the teenager had been involved in an altercation in a discotheque, in which he was hit and fainted. Investigators believe the hit might have been fatal. “He spent some time in the disco, then he went out, someone came and slapped him, and he fainted.

We brought him round and, after a while, we drove him back home in a taxi,” an eyewitness stated. Friends say that, when they left him in his home, the young man was conscious. The preliminary data of the investigation indicate that the young man, an 11th grade-student, sustained an intracranial hematoma which led to his death. The police are now seeking the man who hit the young man, who could be charged with causing injuries that led to death.
