Concert to mark Jewish community triple anniversary

The Bucharest Jewish Community Centre (JCC) organizes an anniversary concert, to mark a triple anniversary for the Jewish community: 75 years since the founding of the Federation of Jewish Com­munities in Romania, 45 years of existence of the Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) Romania and, last, but not least, 63 years since the State of Israel declared its independence. Thus, Kobi Oz & the band, come from Israel especia­lly for this event, and Directia 5 will offer two recitals. Also featured in the manifestation are the Bim-Bam children’s choir, a children’s ensemble from the Gan Eden Jewish kindergarten and the Israeli dance ensemble Hora. Visitors are awaited, in the Romanian Athenaeum fo­yer, with Jewish products and souvenirs, traditional Jewish cuisine, books, stands representing the Jewish organizations in Romania and the “Shalom Romania” Jewish community radio, etc.
