The Premier’s Control Body did not start an audit within the National Fiscal Administration Agency (ANAF) although Premier Emil Boc publicly claimed he ordered such an audit in order to check the suspicions that hovered above Sorin Blejnar in the custom house corruption row. In February ANAF President Sorin Blejnar was repeatedly accused by opposition politicians and by current and former Custom House employees of being the “Queen” on the chess board of custom house corruption. Blejnar dismissed the accusations. PM advisor Andreea Paul Vass stated back then that Blejnar was being checked by Premier Emil Boc’s Control Body. The statement was later confirmed by the Head of Government who claimed that he ordered an investigation and pointed out that if the Prosecutor’s Office confirms at least one of the suspicions then Blejnar will be sacked. However a government document authored in April reveals that inspectors from the Premier’s Control Body did not start an audit within ANAF.
