Cycling: Efimkin completes Tour of Turkey win

Kenny Van Hummel beat Andre Greipel in a sprint finish in the final stage of the Tour of Turkey as Alexander Efimkin (Team Type 1-Sanofi Aventis) completed the overall victory on Sunday, according to Eurosport. The Skil Shimano rider from the Netherlands edged out Omega-Pharma Lotto’s Greipel, the winner of Friday’s stage, by the narrowest of margins at the end of the 158km stage from Side to Alanya. Italian veteran Alessandro Petacchi, winner of Wednesday’s queen stage, was third. Efimkin claimed his first win since the Settimana Lombarda in 2007 as he finished 1:13 ahead of Astana’s Andrey Zeits and 1:33 in front of Thibaut Pinot (Française des Jeux).
