Two Americans arrested in Romania in February were extradited to the US on Friday, being charged with plotting to sell weapons to the Taliban in order to help them protect their heroin labs from the American army. Alwar “Allan” Pouryan and Oded “Dedy” Orbach, both of them American citizens, were arrested in Bucharest in February. According to the American press, Oded Orbach, a former distributor of beauty care products, allegedly plotted the sale of Stinger anti-aircraft and Javelin anti-tank missiles to undercover agents that claimed to be Taliban. The men were lured in Romania in February in order to seal the deal and were arrested.
