Valentin Stoica makes his debut in “Sleeping Beauty”

Next week, the Bucharest National Opera (ONB) invites us to a special presentation of one of the most celebrated works in the classical ballet repertoire: “Sleeping Beauty”, an occasion for those as yet unfamiliar with the young soloist Valentin Stoica to see him take on the part of Prince Desiré.

At only 23, Valentin Stoica has already been acclaimed by ballet-lovers and critics alike for the wide range of parts he performed, both in major works from the classical repertoire (“Swan Lake”, “Giselle”, “The Nutcracker” and “Le Corsaire”) and in neoclassical and contemporary ballet performances. The lead role he takes on here will allow him to display both his high-level technical training, as well as his dramatic talent.

The Opera orchestra will be conducted by Ciprian Teodorascu.

The performance is scheduled for May 12, starting 7pm.
