Cernavoda reactor 2 to be closed for maintenance operations

 Nuclearelectrica will start, on Friday, procedures for the planned shutdown of the Cernavoda nuclear plant’s reactor 2, for 25 days, for maintenance works, Mediafax reports. “The desynchronising from the national energy station will take place on May 7, at 00:00. (…) Works will be conducted in conditions of safety for the plant workers, the population and the environment, in keeping with the approved protocol used at CNE Cernavoda,” a release by Nuclearelectrica, the plant operator, informs.
