APIA disburses EUR 40 M to Romanian farmers

During May 2-5, the Agriculture Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA) made payments worth a total EUR 40.42 M to Romanian farmers, including EUR 28.5 M allotted through the Single Area Payment Scheme (SAPS), the institution announced yesterday, quoted by Mediafax.

More than EUR 10.6 M of the sum was disbursed through the Complementary National Direct Payments (PNDC 1) scheme, EUR 590,000 went into the Direct Payment Scheme for Sugar (PDSZ) and EUR 150,000 was allotted for industrial-grade tomatoes. Additionally, during the same interval APIA made payments worth EUR 510,000 for sugar beet.
