Ford is test-driving the B-Max prototype in the United Kingdom, according to Money.ro. The photos were taken by a driver, near Glasgow, and were published by “Autoexpress”. Ford tested a prototype in Michigan, USA, as well. “Car” magazine published photos of a taller Fiesta, alongside a classical Fiesta. Ford representatives stated, when presenting the B-Max concept that the first test models would be seen as of this year, while the serial production was to start early next year. According to “Car”, B-Max will find its way to the UK in the summer of 2012.
Ford presented, at the Geneva Car Salon, the B-Max prototype, a small-class MPV. The model is to be built exclusively at the Craiova plant. B-Max will be built on the same platform as the Fiesta model, but will be similar, in design, to the C-Max model. Moving on to another topic, the managing director of Ford Romania, Henrik Nenzen, stated, yesterday, in Iasi, that the sales of new cars in Romania are three times below the normal level, in the context of the crisis, estimating a 10 pc-rise in 2011 and a 30 pc-rise in 2012, Mediafax reports. Henrik Nenzen argued, in a press conference at Iasi Mayor’s Office, that new car sales in Romania had hit a record low in the past three years.
