A 70-year-old woman and her 43-year-old son were found dead in Calarasi. The autopsy revealed that their deaths were caused by cardiac and pulmonary problems and by generally poor health stemming from malnutrition. The family’s relatives and neighbors confirm that the two may have died from starvation, considering that no food was found in their house and the two were very thin. After not seeing the two in a long time their neighbors alerted the police and firefighters. The authorities broke into their house through a window. The lifeless bodies, the elderly woman’s being already in a state of decay, show that the two died one and a half or even two weeks ago.
