A 49-year-old man from Suseni had a nervous breakdown when realizing he might lose the home laid as guarantee for a loan. The 49-year-old was found dead by his mother and a neighbour. The man had financial problems and, some days before, his business, a barber’s in Pitesti, had gone bankrupt. “It was shut down a couple of days ago, he didn’t have the money to pay the rent,” a local argued. “The man left a note in which he asked his mother to forgive him for all the troubles he had caused. At the same time, the note said he had a EUR 2,650-loan, with a 15 pc-interest and a mortgage on his mother’s home, which was to be lost if the loan could not be paid,” Laura Folea, spokesperson for the Arges County Police, stated. The man was divorced and had two children working abroad.
