New delays at National Arena

Construction works on Bucharest’s National Arena stadium will not be finished in May as scheduled, Romanian Football Federation (FRF) President Mircea Sandu stated after the General Assembly meeting. Instead, the construction works will be completed in July. Sandu claims that construction works will be finished on time so that the National Arena can host Romania’s friendly against Argentina on August 10. “Unfortunately we are running late. A UEFA delegation led by Michel Platini will arrive on Saturday. I believe 90 per cent of the stadium is finished, but in my opinion it won’t be finished in July, Mircea Sandu stated.
