Stage-mechanics show at National Theatre

Today, theatre-lovers are invited to the National Theatre’s Grand Hall for a press conference open to the public.
In the first part of the conference, the public will have a chance to watch a unique performance: the theatre’s entire technical crew contributed to the production of this original show, signed by director Vlad Stanescu, a show in which sinks, borders, rods, revolving stages, limelights, filters and all the other elements that make up a theatre set will join – on a carefully-selected musical background – in a genuine ballet performance, meant to shed light on the extraordinary technical capacities of the large stage.

The second part of the conference will be dedicated to consolidation and optimisation works on the Bucharest “I.L.Caragiale” National Theatre (TNB) building, which started two months ago.

The director general of TNB, Ion Caramitru, the architect Romeo Belea, who designed the project, and representatives of the construction company commissioned for the works will provide detailed information regarding the progress of works and will take questions from the public and press.
The public’s access is free.

Address: 2 Nicolae Balcescu Blvd.
