USL’s Healthcare motion, rejected

The Social Liberal Union (USL)’s motion, titled “The Healthcare System in Romania – Imminent Danger” was rejected, on Monday, by the Chamber of Deputies, with 134 votes “in favour”, 137 votes “against” and three blank votes. The opposition deputies criticized, in the assembly, the measures taken by the Government, while the ruling coalition MPs pleaded against the motion, arguing the harsh measures had been needed. The Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) deputy Petru Movila argued the healthcare reform had been necessary.
