Irinel Columbeanu seeks PM Boc’s support in his daughter’s case

Businessman Irinel Columbeanu went to Victoria Palace yesterday to submit to the Registry of the Government a document asking for the help of PM Emil Boc in the case of his daughter, Irina, currently in the custody of his wife, Monica Columbeanu. ‘I have asked that the work of the Ilfov Child Protection Services is checked, because it is totally abnormal for this case to be assessed by a private company’, the businessman said about his request to the prime-minister. Last week, the Child Protection Services specialists decided that there were no reasons to terminate the rights of Monica as a natural parent as Irinel Columbeanu had asked, for the reason that she had allegedly abused her daughter. The executive director of the Ilfov Child Protection Services says the assessments in the case had been outsourced to a private company at the beginning of the inquiry, because the law requires the use of qualified practitioners. The official noted that the assessment had been finalized by the psychologists of the institution. Irinel Columbeanu also lodged, yesterday, another complaint with the police against Monica Columbeanu for abandoning their child while going to the US.
