Viborg HK gives up Carmen Amariei

The leadership of Denmark’s Viborg HK women’s handball club announced that the contracts it has with Carmen Amariei and Maja Savici will not be extended, invoking the team’s limited budget, hotnews.ro informs. Although she started the season very well, Amariei, a Romanian national team player, suffered an injury in a Champions League game, subsequently missing most of the season in Denmark and the European Championship in which Romania won bronze. “I talked with both players about this decision. The club’s budget is limited and in this situation it is perfectly normal to stop our collaboration with both of them,” Viborg HK director Peter Cassoe stated.
