Shakhtar Donetsk, the team coached by Romania’s Mircea Lucescu, will play against Dinamo Kiev in the Ukrainian Cup final on May 29. Shakhtar defeated Dnepr Dnepropetrovsk at home in the semifinals, score 2-1, in front of 34,357 fans. Romania’s Razvan Rat was kept on Shakhtar’s substitute bench. Shakhtar’s goals were scored by William (15th minute) and Teixeira (25th minute). Mandziuk scored for the visiting side (63rd minute). Shakhtar, who has mathematically secured the Ukrainian title, has the chance of winning the Ukrainian Cup too. In the other semifinal, Dinamo Kiev defeated Arsenal Kiev, score 2-0.
