The violinists Liviu Prunaru and Valentina Svyatlovskaya will be, today the protagonists of a premiere on the Romanian Radio Hall stage – the simultaneous presence of two historic violins: the 1694 Stradivarius “Pachoud” and the 1676 Guarneri “Maria Theresia”. Members of the prestigious Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, considered today’s best European orchestra, the two violinists will appear for the first time in Bucharest, in a programme including the Concerto for two violins and string orchestra, by Sir Malcom Arnold, alongside the National Radio Orchestra, conducted by Gerd Schaller.
