2012 Visa Lottery results, cancelled

The US State Department on Friday announced the results of the Visa Lottery would be cancelled because of an IT bug that distorted the computer-assisted draw. A new draw is scheduled for July. The IT bug caused the computer systems to choose 90 per cent of the winners from among the people who applied in the first two days of the 30-day application period. Over 14 M applications were received for the 2011 draw for the 50,000 visas allocated by the United States.
