Dinamo in Romanian Cup final

Dinamo Bucharest easily qualified for the Romanian Cup final after winning its semifinal fixture against Bistrita, score 2-0 in the first leg and 5-1 in the return leg. Dinamo will play against Steaua in the final. Vlad Munteanu opened the score in the 9th minute and Danciulescu sealed the qualification after converting a penalty in the 26th minute. Bistrita fought back, Padurariu scoring in the 44th minute, but Dina­mo retaliated through Tucudean (53rd and 90th minutes) and Danciulescu (61st minute). Final score: Dinamo 5 – Gloria 1. The Romanian Cup final is scheduled on May 25 and will be played on Brasov’s ‘Tineretului’ stadium. Steaua and Dinamo last met in a Romanian Cup final in 1990. Dinamo won the Cup back then, score 6-4.
