Romanian driver sped at 230 km/h in Austria, hurrying to go shopping

A young Romanian (19) was stopped and fined by Austrian police Saturday, as he was speeding at 230 km/h on the A4 motorway in eastern Austria. A plainclothes patrol chased the man for some 10 km, between Gols and Parndorf, in Burgenland. The reckless driver only agreed to pull over when the motorway became crowded by vehicles observing the legal speed limit, reads a press release issued by the Austrian Police. According to the same source, the driver – who was accompanied by two women – drove at more than 200 km/h during the chase and overtook another automobile on the right side. He told officers that he was hurrying to shop at the SCS complex south of Vienna.
