President Viktor Yanukovych has rewarded chief coach of FC Shakhtar (Donetsk) Mircea Lucescu with the Order of Merit (first degree), president’s decree No 579 of May 12 declares, according to Ukraine News Agency (UNA). The Order of Merit (second degree) was presented to Ivan Haivoronskyi, vice president of the Football Federation of Donetsk region, Serhii Palkin, FC Shakhtar director general, and Dmytro Shutkov, a goal-keeper coach. They were awarded for their contribution to the development of Ukrainian football, promotion of Ukraine’s international sports image, long-standing fruitful work and on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of FC Shakhtar (Donetsk).
