Concorde Developments pours EUR 350 M into Tulcea wind farms

US company Concorde Developments has announced that its going to erect two wind farms in Tulcea, for which it received a grant from Romanian Government and the European Commission, Money.ro cited PR Newswire as reporting. Concorde Developments has been given the authorization to build a 45 MW power wind farm in Tulcea.

The US fully-owned project is worth EUR 90 M. The US-based group will use Canadian-made wind turbines, and says it has already entered into contracts towards selling the electric power to be produced by the plant. Moreover, Concorde is conducting negotiations with a Greek group over purchasing a 120 MW wind farm in the same area for which Romanian authorities have issued all the authorizations. The US company says a deal is already in place concerning Enel taking over the energy supplied.
