New chairman at Asirom

The chairman of the Asirom board of directors, Boris Schneider, was replaced, on Monday, by Mariana Diaconescu, who held the deputy chairman position with the company owned by Vienna Insurance Group (VIG). Contacted by Mediafax, Diaconescu confirmed her appointment at the helm of the insurance company, adding that Schneider had decided to accept another job offer. Former president of Eximbank Romania, Diaconescu was appointed deputy chairman of Asirom in 2005, just as Boris Schneider took over at the helm of the company.
