Romanian Embassy in Tripoli closed

The Romanian Embassy of Tripoli has suspended its activity as of Saturday, following the constant deterioration of the security situation in Libya, also in the capital of this state, MAE informs. “As a consequence of the constant deterioration of the security situation in Libya, also in the capital of the country, Romania has decided to suspend the activity of its Embassy of Tripoli, starting May 14, 2011 and to repatriate the whole Romanian personnel. MAE recommends Romanian citizens to further avoid any kind of trip to Libya,” reads a MAE press release.
