Bucharest Photography Salon at Romanian Peasant’s Museum

The second edition of the Bucharest Photography Salon will take place, this year, between May 19 and 22, at the Romanian Peasant’s Museum, in the Guests’ Hall, bringing to the public’s attention the latest novelties in terms of world photography brands. A meeting point in which aficionados can exchange ideas and information, the salon proposes, for four days, a special programme including workshops, debates, photo sessions, in which the major photography schools and editors are expected to take part. Also featured on the programme are contests and photography exhibitions, as well as plenty of surprises for the wider public.

The Foto4ALL exhibition includes, this year, 140 works signed by 50 photographers who competed in the eponymous contest. The Foto4ALL opening and awards gala will take place today, starting 7pm, marking the official opening of the Salon. The salon will include two other exhibitions, the one signed by Andrei Pungovschi, dedicated to Vama Veche, and Christian Kostyak’s one, dedicated to the Bucharest Opera House.

At the same time, the Photography Salon will host a contest in which cameras are laid out as prizes. SF Click is a contest addressed to young people, in which, under the slogan “Have fun!”, all visitors are invited to take candid snapshots during the events, debates and concerts on the Salon programme. The photos will be posted on the Salon’s Facebook page, where a jury will decide the winners. The funniest snapshots will bring the amateur photographers cameras offered by Benq and Lomography, to be awarded on Sunday, 5pm, during the Salon’s closing gala, which will kick off with a jazz concert.
