No-confidence vote against FM on Monday in the Senate

Senate Speaker Mircea Geoana announced yesterday during the plenum meeting that the no-confidence vote that USL filed yesterday in the Senate – “The foreign policy is Romania’s, not PDL’s” – will be debated on Monday, May 23. On Monday the USL Senators filed a no-confidence vote against Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi after he stated during PDL’s National Convention that the draft vote-by-mail law will bring PDL “one million votes.” PNL President Crin Antonescu asked PM Emil Boc to sack Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi for stating that his goal is for the vote-by-mail law to bring the Democrat-Liberals one million votes.
