Justin Capra, a 79-year-old aviation engineer from Prahova County, has created a vehicle for those tired of paying increasingly high prices on petrol and diesel fuel, and seeking fuel-efficient vehicles instead. The famous Romanian inventor has made a motor vehicle prototype that consumes an average of 0.5 litres for 100 km, and could reach a speed of up to 90 kms/hour, according to the “Adevarul” newspaper.
The wonder-vehicle has a weight of 150 kilograms and costs RON 8,000. “This invention is not new by any means, it was made in a workshop three years ago. It’s a sort of electric scooter. It covered the 400-plus km distance between Bucharest and Iasi spending only 2 litres of petrol. So far, nobody has however showed an interest in it, although I wish very much they were,” Capra said. The vehicle – “J400D” may use just about any fuel. The only inconvenience is it only has one seat and a trunk the size of a knapsack.
