Manele singer Salam to share stage with Eric Clapton, Gypsy Kings

After being broadcast by BBC Radio 1 at the beginning of the year and after singing in his own house with famous Goran Bregovic, manele singer Florin Salam is scheduled to share the stage in October with the likes of Eric Clapton and Gypsy Kings. The announcement was made by the Romanian singer himself in a press conference on Wednesday, according to HotNews.

Salam also announced that he signed a contract with one of the largest music labels in the world, Universal Music. The concert to be held on October 1 will bring on the same stage Bregovic, Salam, Clapton, Gypsy Kings and Iio. The event will be followed by a series of concerts in France and Italy (at Marseille, Paris, Rome and Milan).

In March, Salam sang together with Serbian artist Bregovic on occasion of a “jam session” organized at the manele singer’s house. Bregovic wrote a song on the occasion, with lyrics by Salam. The two collaborated on two songs, which will be included in Bregovic’s next album, ‘Champagne for Gypsies.’ The record will also include collaborations with famous artists such as Clapton, Gypsy Kings and Iio.
