Arad Mayor Gheorghe Falca said that 65 pc of the Arad-Timisoara motorway has been completed, and constructors already received half of the money for their work. According to the same source, the Arad ring road is 50 pc done as well. Gheorghe Falca yesterday invited journalists to watch a movie shot along the motorway from a small aircraft, which shows the asphalt coating already present on 15 km of road, Mediafax reports. Referring to the Arad ring road, which is part of Pan-European Corridor IV, Falca said it is 50 pc done and 35 pc of its cost has been paid to contractor companies. Given the current stage of works, both the ring and the motorway will be opened to traffic in the spring of 2012, the mayor promised.
