The gates of the ‘Tineretului’ stadium in Brasov will open at 5.30 PM, the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) announced.
The Romanian Cup final that pits Steaua against Dinamo Bucharest will start at 9.15 PM and will be preceded by a laser show that will start at 8.45 PM. The show will continue during the half-time break too. The game will end with the trophy award festivities.
This is the first time in 21 years that the two teams are meeting in a Romanian Cup final.
In order to avoid incidents similar to the one that took place during the Rapid vs. FC Brasov game (1-0) in the last leg of the season, when a torch hit a female fan causing burns on 40 per cent of her face, the fans are not allowed to enter the stadium with weapons, stabbing weapons, torches, explosives, incendiary materials, any type of substances that could cause explosions, plastic pipes, wood or metal objects, bottles, umbrellas and any other object that could turn into a blunt weapon.
Likewise, fans are not allowed to enter the stadium with flag poles, the FRF communiqué shows. The only banners allowed will be those that contain relevant and decent messages. The fans that ignore these provisions and disrupt the sports event will be held accountable on the basis of law number 4/2008.
