Italian jazz concert at ArCuB

In the framework of the celebrations of the 150 years of Italy National Unity, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute organize today the special Concert “Un Incontro di Jazz”, by Gino Paoli, Danilo Rea, Flavio Boltro, Rosario Bonaccorso and Roberto Gatto. Gino Paoli, one of the most famous Italian songwriter belonging to the well known “Scuola di Genova” has been recording pieces of the calibre of Il cielo in una stanza, Senza fine, Sassi, Me in tutto il mondo, Anche se, Sapore di sale, Che cosa c’è and Vivere ancora, all of which were destined to become classics and to be translated into numerous languages (Senza fine has been recorded worldwide in about 300 different versions).

His jazz group is composed by four artists who are the excellence in the Italian music panorama and have played all over the world, on his own as well as with international artists. All of his bands have, apart from an excellent technique and a refined timbre research, great “warmth”, typical of Mediterranean culture. The Concert will be performed today at the ArCuB theatre, starting at 20.45 (entrance by invitation only).
