Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi announced on Friday that the first Romanian-Moldovan joint government meeting will be organized in Galati, with seven ministers from each government set to take part in it. “We will organize the first joint government meeting under a European aegis. We hope that the meeting will take place in Galati before the two Parliaments enter recess and that it will occasion the signing of a bilateral action plan,” Baconschi stated in Chisinau in a series of press statements he and his counterpart Iurie Leanca made. The Minister explained that the two states’ governments have already worked on preparing this event, pointing out that the meeting will address infrastructure projects and plans to interconnect road and energy infrastructure. “We hope that after the joint government meeting we will already enter a logic of implementing these necessary and at the same time highly visible projects,” Baconschi added.
