Mladic to be transferred to The Hague

Bosnian Serb wartime general Ratko Mladic is expected to be transferred to the UN war crimes court in The Hague on today or tomorrow. His lawyer Milos Saljic is to appeal against the transfer although Mladic has already been declared fit to be extradited, the BBC informs. He added that Gen Mladic, 69, had issued “a public appeal” to his supporters not to resort to violence. A Belgrade rally was due to take place yesterday outside parliament. Mladic has said he did not order the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, according to his son.
