Romanian-Italian inter-governmental summit taking place today

An Italian governmental delegation, led by the Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, will be arriving in Bucharest this morning. According to a release by the Romanian government, the Romanian PM Emil Boc and the Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi will have a joint meeting, alongside delegations representing the two Cabinets, in which they will address topics of a mutual interest from the bilateral agenda, such as political, economic and sector-based cooperation and the Romanian community in Italy, and topics from the European agenda – Romania’s Schengen accession, the new financial prospects, the joint agricultural policy, the cohesion policy, energy and international security.
