Flowers and scented candles will await soloist Marie backstage, on her birthday.
Roxette will be for the first time in Romania, as part of the “Dressed for Success” world tour, meant to promote their latest album.
The doors open at 5pm and the first opening act – Magnolia – will climb on stage after 6 pm, to be followed by VH2. The Roxette concert is scheduled to end at 10 pm. The public will be granted access to the Zone Arena from 164, Barbu Vacarescu Blvd., through two entry points, depending on the category of tickets: one for spectators who hold tickets in the A Lawn area, and the other, next to the stage, for those who hold tickets in the Golden VIP and Tribune. Children will be granted access only based on a valid ticket and accompanied by an adult. Spectators are advised to use public transport, on their way to and from the concert.
The following will not be allowed on the premises: bottles (including perfume bottles over 100 ml and deodorants), plastic cans, tins, fireworks, banners on poles, sprays, chairs, weapons, food or drink, sharp objects, pets, chains, professional or semi-professional cameras (with removable lens) or audio-video camcorders. At the same time, in the event of rain, umbrellas will not be allowed, and spectators are advised to bring raincoats. A soundproof insulation was set up in the Zone Arena area, along the Barbu Vacarescu Boulevard, to reduce the level of sound echoing outside the venue.
Tickets for the concert are still available in the Diverta network, at the Palace Hall, at the “Mihai Eminescu” bookshop, Muzica and The Ark. Those who wish will be able to purchase tickets on concert day, from the Zone Arena boxoffice, within the number of tickets available.
Boasting a career of nearly 25 years, 75 million records sold worldwide and over 30 hits, Roxette returned, in 2011, with a brand new album – “Charm School” – and embarked on a new international tour. The Bucharest show is part of the tenth world tour by the band, which came back together in 2009, after a nearly eight years’ break.
Marie’s birthday
As the female half of the Swedish pop duo, Marie, celebrates her birthday today, the artists’ dressing-rooms will be decorated with flower arrangements and candles, to make as festive a setting as possible. According to a release by the organizers, Emagic, the band members expressly asked for sliced ginger, which has lately been their delicacy of choice. Besides ginger, the band asked for six cases of local beer, several types of salads and cheese, as well as fresh fruit and various sorts of milk.
