Timis County Border Police officer Danut Liviu Butta, who belongs to the lot of customs employees detained by the DNA following searches at Moravita Customs Checkpoint, is being probed by integrity inspectors that discovered he was EUR 45,000 wealthier than he should have been, based on his incomes. Now, the National Integrity Agency (ANI) is also probing his wife, Liana Maria Butta.
The spokesman of Timis Border Police said yesterday that Butta was sanctioned with two written warnings and a salary cut during his career, but he also received two written commendations, though he was unable to say why.
