Fathi Taher seeks investors for railway project worth USD 500 M in Jordan

Jordan Express Light Railway Company, controlled by Fathi Taher, has signed a contract with the consulting company Railway Business, belonging to a former manager of CFR SA, in order to find Romanian investors interested by co-developing a railway project worth USD 500 M in Jordan. “I want the Romanian side to participate in this project with more companies than Electroputere Craiova and Griro. The management firm will also negotiate with other companies of this sector,” Fathi Taher, the owner of Electroputere and Griro announced in a press release quoted by Mediafax. The Jordan-based project is called ‘Zaman Express’.
