IAC’s Bals car-parts factory, operational as of 2012

According to the International Automotive Components (IAC) Group, which is investing EUR 58 M in building a car-components factory in Bals (Olt), the factory will be fully operational as of 2012, but the first products will be delivered by October-November 2011, the deputy president of IAC Group Europe’s Central and Eastern Europe Operations division, Mauritius Willaert, stated, quoted by Mediafax. The Olt factory will be producing car parts for the Ford plant in Craiova. According to the same source, over EUR 10 M has gone, for the time being, in the building of the factory. Willaert estimates that, by the end of June, the floors will be laid on the factory’s 15,000 sq m-surface, while “heavyweight equipment” should be transported and set-up in July.
