Tourism in Romania to be promoted on CNN, Euronews and Eurosport

The Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT) has started a campaign to advertise Romania as a tourism destination on three international TV channels, namely CNN, Euronews and Eurosport. The channels will broadcast three advertisement spots for a year’s time, according to a press communiqué remitted yesterday. The campaign costs a total of EUR 4.96 M, VAT included. The moneys come from non-reimbursable European funds through the 2007-2013 Regional Operational Programme. Media Investment Communication is the company that won the tender.  “The advertisement spots’ concept underlines Romania’s values, its unique and uncontestable resources, its competitive advantage of being able to still rely on a nature that is largely untouched and “healthy,” a rare and valuable resource for future visitors,” the MDRT communiqué adds.
